Cafe 86B

Earlier this year work was undertaken to reconfigure the cafe. The new arrangement of the counter and seating areas has been successful and comfort levels have been improved. The coffee is of a good standard. The cakes on offer tend to vary so one cannot be sure of having favourites available. The service is excellent. Outdoor seating is available but of course this is on the pavement adjacent to the busy main road. One aspect that I am less fond of is the music. As people need to raise their voices to be heard the cafe can become noisy. Visiting today 4 August, no music so conversation was easy. Otherwise the comments made above are still valid. I think the 4 o'clock closing time is rather early and may surprise visitors to Henley

Popped in lunch time during a long ride out. Had the tomato and egg with extra bacon. Food served quickly by friendly staff, piping hot and tasty. I had a flat white and some water to wash it down. Absolutely delicious.

Cafe 86B is a hidden gem that quickly became one of my favourite breakfast spots. The food is outstanding – especially the pancakes, which are hands-down the best in town! They’re light, fluffy, and beautifully served with fresh fruit and syrup. I also tried their breakfast plate with eggs, mushrooms, and hashbrown which was just as impressive. Every ingredient tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. To pair it all, the iced coffee was smooth and refreshing, served in a mason jar with a fun striped straw – a nice touch that shows their attention to detail. The cafe itself has a warm, relaxed vibe with stylish seating and a cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a slow morning or catch up with friends. Excellent food, friendly vibes, and unbeatable pancakes – Cafe 86B is a must-visit!

A quality spot for lunch or coffee with a warm atmosphere: a balance of new-wave coffee shop ideas with cosy exposed beams and a village community atmosphere that makes a country-grown boy like me quite nostalgic. Really great sandwiches in particular. Keen to try the rest of the menu on my fortnightly visits to Henley-in-Arden!

Food and presentation was excellent, not a thing I could fault with the Full English - one of the best I've had in recent memory. Fantastic coffee too. Atmosphere/decor light and airy, the bench seating is extremely comfortable and plush. Staff were friendly and bubbly without being overbearing. Perhaps a few more adventerous things on the menu would be an added bonus (shakshouka, fritters that sort of thing). Keep up the good work :)

Had a lovely lunch yesterday and was so impressed with the food and service. I had the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and full of flavour, the homemade Caesar dressing was absolutely beautiful and really made the dish. My friend had sourdough toast topped with creamy avocado, crispy bacon, and a perfectly poached egg, it looked amazing and tasted just as good. Everything was fresh, well-presented, and clearly made with care. A perfect spot for a relaxed lunch, will definitely be back!

A Cafe, does not do it justice. Coffee is great and well made the building is small but well presented modern vibe but in keeping with the traditional Henley setting. Food is not mass produced without care, the owner takes pride in selecting top produce to cook with and it shows. All i can say is.....well worth a visit, try it yourself.
